About our clinic
Patient-centred care is the philosophy that guides everything we do at Alberta Artificial Limb and Orthotics. Every person faces unique challenges and is motivated by individual needs and goals. This is why our facility and treatments are designed to help individuals overcome challenges and achieve a high quality of life.
Our 4200 sq ft. facility in Calgary includes a gait room, in-house manufacturing facilities, and state-of-the art technology to ensure every patient has access to the best practices in orthotic and prosthetic care.
Gait Room
We are the only facility in Alberta to house a 600 sq ft gait/training area that includes a ramp with grades of 1:10 and 1:5, a six step stairway and parallel bars. This provides real-world scenarios in a safe and secure setting to increase our clients’ confidence so they are ready and comfortable to face the challenges of their every-day lives.
Using a cloud based gait analysis software, we can discuss a patient’s movement with our ever-expanding wellness group (PnOdata). This provides a much greater pool of experts working as a team to provide the best solutions for our patients.
Technology
We are constantly updating and integrating the most current technology into our practice so we can achieve better results to help people regain mobility and independence.
